STUDIES ARCHIVE..... OUR FAMILY NAME IS PRAISE!
The Builder of the Ark of the Covenant: Ex. 31:1-3
The Ark of the Covenant contained the presence and glory of God
in the Old Testament. It was built to hold the required items
God had spoken to Moses. The builder of the Ark
as well as the Tabernacle was Bezaleel, whose name means “under
the protection of God.” He was filled with wisdom, understanding,
and knowledge. Bezaleel was from the tribe of Judah.
The Ark in the Tabernacle of Moses was the meeting place for
God with His people; a place to commune and for the priests to offer
sacrifices. It was built according to God’s plan.
The Builder of the Tabernacle of David: 2 Sam. 6:17
The Ark of the Covenant was moved to the next Tabernacle –
that of David. The tabernacle was actually a small tent, not
as elaborate or detailed as the Tabernacle of Moses. David
longed for the return of the presence of the Lord, and after he
became King of Israel, he sought after the Ark. David was
from the tribe of Judah. The tribe of Judah was the tribe
of praise.
The Builder of the Temple of Solomon: 1 Ki. 6:1
The Ark of the Covenant was moved from the Tabernacle of David to
the Temple of Solomon. Here it reached its final destination,
as the staves were removed. Ornate, detailed and precise,
the temple plan was given to David and built by his son. Solomon
was from the tribe of Judah.
The Builder of the New Covenant Temple: Matt. 1:3
Jesus was from the tribe of Judah and was the builder of the New
Covenant Temple and was the Temple. Jesus fulfilled the pattern
of the temple. He “was a lion from the tribe of Judah.”
The Temple Today: 1Co. 6:19
Jesus left us His Holy Spirit to reside in us, making believers
the temple today. We are partakers of a divine inheritance
and have been adopted into a royal bloodline!!! of kings and priests.
Our family name is PRAISE! We are spiritually from the tribe
of Judah – from the family of praise.
PSALM 100 – PRAISE – tehillah: glory; song exulting
God; hymn; from the halal: “radiance” or giving light,
cause to shine. We boast of the Lord, we glorify His name.
Amen!
