STUDIES ARCHIVE.....Drawn By Grace
In the exquisite dance of salvation we find our pursuer is none
other than God, the Creator-King, Elohim. He who formed us
in His image for His Glory and pleasure, romances us. What
follows is the pursuit of man after God.
“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws
him…..” John 6:44
“ I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn
you with loving-kindness.” Jeremiah 31:3
“When I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men to
myself.” John 12:32
“There is a remnant, chosen by grace.” Romans
11:5
Why would God draw us?? Scripture reveals the answer in both
the Old Testament and the New Testament:
“Because God loved your forefathers and chose their descendants,
he brought you out of Egypt by His Presence and His great Strength.”
Dt. 4:37
“Because God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten
Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal
life.” John 3:16
“I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love;
I lifted the yoke from their neck and bent down to feed them.”
Hosea 11:4
Israel is described as a wayward son, like the Prodigal, and
God as a loving Father. Israel was called out of Egypt by
God as a chosen land and nation and people, or son; just as Jesus
was called out of Egypt as the chosen Son – in Matthew 2:15.
God sent both Israel and Jesus to Egypt, and God called them, drew
them, and led them out of Egypt.
1) GOD DRAWS, CALLS, AND LEADS A NATION
2) GOD DRAWS, CALLS, AND LEADS A MESSIAH
3) GOD DRAWS, CALLS, AND LEADS US
This dance of grace, of salvation, is Illustrated by the parable
of The Prodigal Son. We find in this parable the turning
verse: “when he came to his senses” ; here we see that
God had been drawing on the lost son until he finally responded.
Could it be that the Father has invited you to dance this season?
Have you felt the tug on your heart that is gently and sweet?
It might just be the our Almighty God has chosen YOU this season,
to dance, to sing - and to ask for your hand as He takes you out
of the Egypt in your life. He could be drawing you to Him
for the first time. He could be leading you into deeper intimacy
with Him. Listen for His invitation, and my prayer is
that you will respond.
